HARMAN Automotive is hiring a Business Process & Master Data Management (MDM) Analyst for its enterprise digital technology organization in Bangalore. This strategic role interfaces directly between global business units (Data Owners, Stewards) and technical IT infrastructure engineering teams. You will drive data harmonization, process automation, and information governance across the core Customer, Vendor, and Material Master data domains. The daily scope balances mapping complex business processes, leading fit-gap analysis, tracing operational root-cause issues within ERP data layers, and designing scalable automated workflows to ensure enterprise-wide data integrity that optimizes supply chain and financial operations.

Requirements:

  • 4–7 years of professional experience executing Business Analysis, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, or Enterprise Data Quality roles inside a global matrixed organization.
  • Deep technical understanding of Customer, Vendor, and Material Master data domains and their downstream operational impacts on manufacturing lifecycle tracks.
  • Solid structural familiarity with integrated ERP workflows, specifically covering SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Finance & Controlling (FICO) processes.
  • Strong capability gathering corporate requirements, running AS-IS / TO-BE operational assessments, conducting detailed fit-gap analyses, and converting requirements into Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Proven experience modeling data quality KPIs, conducting deep root-cause analysis on structural database breaks, organizing data cleansing workflows, and implementing strict lifecycle controls.
  • Clear functional knowledge of Data Lifecycle Management, data profiling baselines, stewardship structures, and enterprise data architecture standards.
  • High proficiency using platform collaboration frameworks including JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and workflow mapping engines like Visio.
  • Direct deployment experience or technical exposure utilizing SAP Master Data Governance (SAP MDG) systems.
  • Exposure to cloud compliance catalogs via Microsoft Purview, big data engineering pipelines via Microsoft Fabric, and creating analytical dashboards through Power BI and SQL.
  • Formal exposure to the DAMA-DMBOK data governance framework, or holding professional certifications like CBAP, CCBA, or CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional).
  • Willingness and capability to travel up to 5% both domestically and internationally for global integration alignment workshops.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management metrics, deep cross-functional facilitation capability, strong critical thinking, and advanced written and spoken English communication skills.
